Stella finally lost another tooth! It had been almost a year since she's lost her two front teeth and that one next to them finally decided to loosen enough to come out. This was also the point that I found out that I am, according to her, the best tooth puller ever. Which is super funny, because I am not a tooth person. In fact, I have recurring nightmares of all of my teeth coming out. So, the squeamishness of pulling those suckers out of her face at least comes with some acknowledgement of my skill.
Baseball clinics started up! And as much as she hated soccer, she loved baseball!
She was so excited to learn Daddy (and Grandpa's) favorite sport! We even facetimed with Grandpa and let him watch her batting practice!
We had a date night to see Bohemian Rhapsody!
It was amazing!!! We loved it so much and spent all night singing Queen songs and watching old YouTube videos of Queen and Freddie Mercury and comparing them to the cast of the movie!
Stella started a S.T.E.A.M class this month and they have learned all about coding and robotics!
She's really loving it!
We had another date night to watch "Fantastic Beasts 2" and splurged for the fancy theater with dinner and reclining leather seats! It was wild! We had a three course meal with drinks and tea and coffee at the end! And blanket and the most comfortable seats ever! It was decadent and awesome!
While we were watching our movie, Stella's babysitter was teaching her Chess so she and her daddy have been playing and she's doing pretty well!
In addition to her extracurricular stuff, we have some clubs that we attend regularly. Science club is every Sunday and the moms take turns teaching the kids different things. Stella wanted me to do a lesson on displacement... it was one of the first big science experiments we did when we started home schooling so it was cool that she wanted to share that with her friends!
She even came up and helped with our experiments!
THANKSGIVING!!!
Thanksgiving and I cooked a ham, mashed potatoes, yams, and sausage balls!
For us I made apple pie...
Gluten Free pie crust is especially finicky and very fragile, so when I attempted to lattice my crust, it fell apart. So I ended up with this wagon wheel, star sort of thing. It certainly wasn't the prettiest, but it was delicious and flaky like a wheat crust!
I made our families dressing, of course... I'm making it my mission in life to introduce everyone to these little, as my brother in law Matt calls them, hedgehogs of goodness! I also made deviled eggs and more sausage balls.
We had dinner at our friends house and she was in charge of cooking the bird and the other sides. I got there early and we cooked together a lot, which was really awesome and I absolutely loved! I enjoy cooking just in general, but cooking alongside someone else on a big celebration day made it feel like we were home and celebrating instead of being so far away.
And...I was in charge of carving the bird. Yep... the resident mostly vegetarian carved the turkey. All those episodes of Good Eats and Alton Brown's amazing knowledge made me a pretty fine turkey carver though, so I always get volunteered.
The spread
Stella was just in it for the desserts!
Me and the mustache... I mean, husband!
The whole fam damily at the end of the night!
And to round out the month the way we started it... she lost the tooth on the other side!
