Just a whole bunch of random...

I dont know how its been so long, but its been FOREVER since I updated. Life just gets in the way and now, here we are and its been ages since I've logged anything!

On 18 October Stella ran her first race! 

Third place!

The base had a halloween thing so we got to do a test run of Stella's costume... and thank goodness, because it needed some tweaking! She decided this year she wanted to be a stack of books...and so, I delivered! 

This first attempt was great in theory, but it didnt wear well and was SO hard for her to walk in. 

The next day was the Homeschool Halloween Party so we had to improvise since I hadnt had time to fix the books yet... so she was a butterfy fairy!

We attended our second Young Authors Club meeting and she read a short story she wrote!

We also found a really cool online math game called Prodigy that she loves! I love it because its math and so she gets to play games and learn and I get a few minutes to myself while she plays! Sometimes mama needs her tea in the quiet! 

Actual Halloween and I finally figured out how to make the stack of books costume in a wearable way. I LOVE how it turned out...and more importantly, Stella loved it! 

Some of our friends came over for dinner and trick or treating! Laremy was a shadow, Stella a stack of books, and Reece is a spider queen!

At some point during the night, Stella and Reece turned into Surly teenagers and the moms donned their costumes and walked around the neighborhood we were trick or treating in.

 The parents thought it was hilarious... the girls? Not so much...haha!
