The next morning we woke up and Stella discovered that missing those two teeth has some unexpected perks...
Matt had taken the day off so he and Carly and the kids came up and everyone played together!
The ladies left the guys with the kids and we headed out for Mexican food and milkshakes!
That night Ellory had her school Christmas program and we were able to go see her! Living so far away we rarely get to watch stuff like that so it was nice to be able to see her sing her Christmas songs and she was so excited to show off!
We headed to Mymom and Grampy's house after that and she and I enjoyed some eggnog with a little (or maybe a lot...) of crown royal!
And the guys enjoyed their peanut butter spoons together...lol!
We FaceTimed my great Uncles, Aunt, and cousin Mindy, watched "Christmas Vacation" together, and stayed up way past Gramps' bedtime talking and catching up. We are so bad about not spending a ton of time with them and we end up at the end of trip wondering where time has gone and why we didn't see them more so I made sure to set aside time specifically for them and I am so glad I did! We had such a great time and we'll definitely be sure to do that every time we come back to visit. We are so, so lucky to have them and I don't think there's enough time in the world to spend with them! We're working on talking them into coming to visit England again and I hope they make the trip! We had a blast the last time they came to visit!
The next morning we got back to the Wofford's house and I straightened Stella's hair for the first time ever! She thought it was the best thing ever... I didn't like it. She looks SO much older!
We spent the day packing and running a few last minute errands. That night everyone came over for dinner and we realized that Stella and her Aunt Cici had the same hair now that hers was straight!
We had dinner and played games and the guys smoked cigars and pipes and drank scotch out by the fire pit. We doled out hugs and said our goodbyes and then headed to bed since our flight left the next morning.
Overall, it was a fantastic trip! It was probably one of our best trips home to date. The snow and losing those first two days kind of messed some things up and there are people we didn't get to see or spend a lot of time with, but overall, it was really great! We are so so lucky to have a family that loves and supports our crazy adventures and who don't bat an eyelash about decorating early or cooking a turkey at the beginning of the month and who love on us like crazy whenever they can.
