Field trip... food factory!

Today we had a field trip to a local food factory! One of the families in the homeschool group has an uncle who owns a factory here in Bahrain and offered up a tour for the group. They produce and package spices, coffees, dry goods like rice, lentils, and beans and we got to tour and see all the machinery and processes!
We Donned our face masks and headed in

Our guide took us on a tour of the whole factory. From seeing how they sorted and catalogued the finished products like rice, lentils, beans, and coffees, to seeing the packaging and labeling process.

Reece and Laremy are moving soon and so these kiddos are soaking in every second together that they can!

Sorting and bagging chickpeas

chickpeas being packaged!

The label machine

The spices before they're ground and after!

We got to see the coffee room where the beans were roasted!

After our field trip we headed out for lunch with part of the homeschool group and had a great afternoon! The weather was actually super nice so we ate outside and enjoyed the good weather because, unlike Winterfell, Summer is coming....
